House Foods Organic Tofu, Firm (16 oz, 4-count) is made with a very simple, traditional tofu ingredient list focused on organic soybeans and water. The tofu begins with organic soybeans, which are soaked and processed to create soy milk, forming the protein-rich base of the tofu. Water is used throughout the production process to achieve the firm yet smooth texture.
To set and solidify the tofu, calcium sulfate is added as a natural coagulant, which also contributes a small amount of dietary calcium. No preservatives, artificial flavors, or colors are used, keeping the ingredient list clean and straightforward.
